Empowering Educators Through Alaukawai
Kaʻaikuahiwi is enriched by the valuable learnings and insights derived from the diligent efforts of previous Alaukawai task forces. Specifically, the contributions of the Alaukawai 0016 Extended Design Team, consisting of 20 esteemed K-12 educators, have played a pivotal role in shaping and influencing the design of courses. Their expertise and input have been instrumental in ensuring that Kaʻaikuahiwi is tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of educators like yourself. We deeply value their contributions and recognize the significant impact they have had in creating a truly meaningful learning experience.
Establishing a strong kahua in ʻŌiwi Edge is our shared kuleana at Kamehameha Hawaiʻi. As a stepping stone towards collective success, we are launching “Foundations in ʻŌiwi Edge Pedagogy,” an induction pathway that will serve as a solid starting point for your personalized professional learning journey in Kaʻaikuahiwi. Through this ʻaha, or suite of micro-courses, kumu explore the key principles underlying ʻŌiwi Edge learning and teaching.
Foundations in ʻŌiwi Edge

We believe that delivering on our ʻŌiwi Edge promise to our haumāna requires a deep commitment to professional learning and growth. The Kaʻaikuahiwi induction experience will strengthen our vibrant learning community by building the groundwork for common understanding, meaningful collaboration, and effective communication.
